The Manitoba Soaring Council is the Provincial Sport Governing Body representing soaring and gliding and a Sport Manitoba partner. The Council represents the two gliding organizations in Manitoba:

 

 

What is Soaring?

 

Soaring is motorless flight, using a sailplane and natural occurring atmospheric phenomena, called "LIFT", to gain altitude and stay aloft. More information can be found on the Soaring Association of Canada web site.
